1 lb pork, cubed and trimmed of fat
1 tbsp shortening or oil
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 tbsp flour
2 14 oz containers of Albuquerque Tortilla Chopped Green Chile
1 cup stewed tomatoes or fresh tomatoes diced
1/2 tsp garlic powder
3/4 tsp salt
Heat shortening in a skillet and brown pork. Add flour to pork and cook for about 2 minutes, set aside. Put Green Chile in a sauce pan and bring to a slow boil on medium heat. Add garlic powder and salt. Add pork, onions, and tomatoes and simmer for about 20 minutes.
Try adding ground beef with pan fried potatoes to the green chile instead of pork. Wrap in an Albuquerque Tortilla Burrito Style Flour tortilla, makes a great burrito.
